Narcotics Anonymous is a fellowship, not an app. Program information belongs on na.org. InnerAscent is an independent companion people in NA (and in AA and similar programs) can use beside the fellowship. It is not endorsed here as an official NA product. AA’s Step text, for members who also use it, is on aa.org.
This is not medical care. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
What members usually want from a phone
- A way to find a meeting without posting their story. What happens at an NA meeting and finding meetings near you.
- A private clean date. The counter is calendar days from the date you set. Try it on the clean time calculator. The page does not save the date.
- Somewhere to write Step 1 and later Steps without a public feed. Step 1 explained. The 12 Steps explained.
- A sponsor who is a person. How to find a sponsor. In the app, the link is an invite code and sharing starts off.
- Optional writing prompts. Recovery journal prompts.
What InnerAscent will not do
It will not publish a recovery feed. It will not copy NA readings such as Just for Today. It will not call itself your sponsor. Optional AI is described in AI recovery companion. Anonymity choices are in how anonymity is protected and the privacy policy.
Meeting logs are ones you tap yourself (“I attended a meeting”). Location for nearby listings is optional. If you deny it, the rest of the app still works.
Where to get it
Android is on Google Play. The iPhone app is not on the App Store yet. Alert me when Apple is coming out. There is no web app. A new member gets 30 days of full access, then Premium is $4.99 a month or $39 a year if they subscribe in the store. Core tools such as Steps, journal, meetings, sponsor hub, and the clean-time counter remain available after the trial; AI reflection, the meditation library, voice journaling, and advanced analytics are the Premium set.
Continue with the fellowship first
Go to a meeting. Ask a person to sponsor you. Use the app as the private notebook.
